Take the N8 from Cork City through Fermoy, Mitchelstown, Cahir, Cashel to thurles. When you arrive in Thurles take the n62 north to Roscrea and then on to Birr.
Travelling from Galway
Take the N6 toward Athlone. One mile east of Athlone on N6 take N62 south to Birr.
